To reduce the time wasted on a page to load we came up with a new faster way to present our content. The popup can be found at the Login, Create Account, Profile Details, Mail Details, In-game Video, Downloads and the Online List pages. There are a few things you need to know about the popup so you don't go mad over it the first day.
1. Let the whole page be loaded before you click on a popup link. If the page isn't fully loaded you will not be able to see the popup.
2. The popup will always appear on the top of the page. So if you click, for example, on a Profile link at the bottom of a review the popup will be displayed at the top of the page. Which means you need to scroll up to be able to see the popup and the content.
3. To close the popup you just have to double click anywhere on the page when the popup is open.
Using the popup allows you to click on a link but still be able to continue your reading or submission. In the forums you might want to send a C:DOSian a cmail while you are writing a reply, you can click on the C:DOSian profile link and the popup will open in the forums page. It's really easy and really functional!
A few of us are having troubles opening some of the popups. The login and create popup works but I can't download or view any C:DOSian profiles. This errors occurs if you are having a antivirues program which is blocking the on-access. Try to lower your security or see if you can turn of this protection.
