Police Quest 1: In Pursuit of the Death Angel

Game Review

Wow, does this game ever take me back to my childhood! This game is more than just a game. It's a game that taught me to use my brain, think of logical things to say and actually type them...a welcome change of pace from the brainless point and click games of today.
Police quest 1 is a realistic and well written game. It teaches you that any action, whether positive or negative, have consequences.
In Police Quest 1, you are police officer Sonny Bonds. The simple idea of patrolling the streets until a call comes in from feeling personal anger and hurt when a criminal who's on the run commits another offence is what really makes this game realistic. Like police officers out there in the real world, it's important to leave "no stone unturned", also bearing in mind that sometimes turning the wrong stone can lead to terrible (and deadly) circumstances!
The graphics and music are simple by today's standards, but entertaining nonetheless.
If you're looking for an entertaining and fun game that gets those wheels turning, I highly recommend downloading this game. If I could make any suggestions about playing this game, I'd have to say that it's important to note that you might need to type things several times in several ways before it works. Just because you type something and it doesn't work, that doesn't necessarily mean you're wrong...you're just not wording it properly! Also, write things down sometimes. Quite often you might find yourself stuck at a certain place because you forgot what seemed like a minor detail about 30 minutes ago! Also remember to save often! When you save, save under different names (i.e at the station, on the road, at the jail, etc.) That way, if you unfortunately do make a mistake and need to go back, you won't have to start from scratch!
With saving in mind, it can also be fun to do things that will very well and obviously cause your ultimate demise! Gruesome, but true.
Remember, I played and passed this game years ago, much before I even knew what the internet was. Now, also taking into consideration that I had a real live police officer living in my household and I asked him for tips! So try your best, try to avoid googling "police quest 1 walkthrough", and most of all, have fun!
Oh, and the last hint of the day: To save a lot of time, you can use some of these short cuts that my brother and I discovered.
Instead of typing "open the door", simply type "o d" Instead of typing "close the door", simply type "c d" And if you're near a chair and want to sit, press f4! Enjoy!
