Taito is brilliant at creating puzzle games featuring cute and fun characters. This game is no different. Bust-A-Move (also known as Puzzle Bobble) is a puzzle game that involves two dinosaurs releasing bubbles from a canon to connect at least three bubbles of the same color together to burst them. The game starts with several bubbles attached to the ceiling. You have to erase all these bubbles to clear a level. The ceiling will move lower and the goal of the game is to erase all the bubbles before the ceiling reaches the level of the canon and you can no longer fire bubbles. When this happens, the game is over.
The game is very simple yet very addictive. It seems all very easy but you will find that it’s not so easy when you move on to the higher levels. First, the ceiling will move faster towards the ground so you can not make a mistake of placing the bubbles in the wrong place. You can see what bubble color comes next so you have to plan your moves. Make sure that when you take a shot, you take the next bubble color into consideration. The more bubbles you burst at one time, the higher the score. Just like in the game of billiards, you must work out a good angle so when you release the bubble, it will land on the right place. If you put the canon at the correct angle, you’ll end up shooting the bubbles to all the wrong places. There are bubbles that have special powers. One special bubble allows you to burst all bubbles with the same color as the bubble that you hit (no need to connect 3 bubbles of the same color).
Aside from the fun gameplay, one great feature of the game is the graphics. Made of colorful characters and good backgrounds, this game will pass even the most discriminate gamers. The music matches the theme of the game well. Overall, there is no way this game will disappoint you.
This game has plenty of levels and you will spend a great number of hours playing it. There are no complicated moves you need to learn, you just learn to set the canon at the right angle, fire away and enjoy long hours of gaming fun. I highly recommend this game to everyone. Download it and enjoy it! Even your little nieces and nephews have fun playing this game.

~dorento1I am quite new to the gaming world. I never had a computer until I was an adult. Some of my friends had Atari's and Nintendos so I would play theirs. I loved games that were like puzzles such as Tetris (where you have to fit different sized blocks together to make a "line" without the blocks building up to the top). Then I found Dr. Mario, where you had to line up "pills" but they were arranged by color. That was similar to Tetris, yet different. Then I discovered another puzzle type game called BUST A MOVE. I first played bust a move on the Nintendo 64. My friend's mom was totally addicted to it.
It was actually hard to get on the game system (Nintendo) because everyone was playing it all the time. I generally enjoy puzzle type games such as Tetris and Dr. Mario so I decided to give BUST A MOVE a try. It sounds like some kind of party music dance game but it isn't. It is like a color puzzle. You have an arrow type shooter at the bottom of the screen. You use the shooter to shoot out bubbles of various colors into other colored bubbles which are at the top of the screen. You have to be careful where you aim the shooter and what color goes where. When you are able to line up several of the same colored bubbles (for instance, red red red and red) then all of those linked colored bubbles will pop (or disappear).
But you have to be careful because you can quickly find yourself in a bit of a mess. The game does take concentration and there is some skill involved. It is quite fun. You can also try to strategize and line up the bubbles in way so that you can get a bigger pop. It is similar to Tetris and Dr. Mario. Each time you clear a level, a harder and faster moving board comes along. If you are not paying attention and if you fail to pop the bubbles, (meaning that you are not lining up the correct number of bubbles that are similar in color) and so you have various bubbles lined up (for example: red red blue red green yellow red red) then you will find that the bubbles quickly "build up" so that there is no room left for bubbles and then your game is over. That game is addicting. I can see why my friend’s mother enjoyed it so much. It’s a lot of fun.
If you enjoy puzzles, you will enjoy this game!
