Strip Poker 3 is a very straightforward card game, third in the series by The Artworx Software Company, Incorporated. It is virtually the same as its predecessors bearing smaller numerical titles, except that it features new girls. The play of the actual card game has stayed the same. This game is played from the first person perspective and was released for the Amiga and the DOS formats in the early nineties.
The girls in this game, for followers of the series who actually care about their names, are Gina, Holly and Stacey. An additional girls on disk were included in this original offering, which gave the user the option of playing a card game against: Desiree, Laura, Greta and Kami. The girls are pictured in VGA graphics, which were considered very good for the time of Strip Poker 3’s release, and were also considered to be a huge improvement over the graphics in the previous titles. There is some digitized speech during the introduction.
The goal of the game is simply to win hands of poker, and take the girls’ clothes as side wagers on each hand. The rules of the game follow those of standard five card draw poker…the user receives five cards on the initial deal and nothing is wild. There are two rounds of betting, and the user and his opponents can each raise up to three times in each betting round. The betting increments range from five to twenty five dollars, which is really not much given that all of the players start with only two hundred dollars in their banks. To accompany the money, everyone has four or five pieces of clothing they can lose. Some of the girls will essentially use an additional piece of clothing by claiming the “modesty” option, where they turn their backs to the viewer in a final tease.
Most of the girls are attractive and feature exceptional builds, however, the user must remember the time of this release when setting his standards. These girls, while certainly considered hot in their time, are what modern men might term “natural.” There has been no augmentation. In other words, the girls have their own breasts, whatever size and shape, and no collagen implants in their lips. The idea of “trim” also carried a different meaning in the late eighties and early nineties.
In short, this is not a bad erotic card game. The girls will get annoying by saying the same things over and over during play, but men are likely used to that anyway, and are probably willing to overlook it in order to see the girls naked. Still, the peep show depends on the user’s gaming ability, not his charm, so ante up.
