I think this is a great game, even though it is not very graphical. It is good for the younger kids so they can learn about the ecosystem a little and make their own animals. They can choose what the animals eat. How much, and how long the animals live. The kids also can set how many of each animal they want. This is just the beginning of a long line of successful life simulations. Keep it going Maxis, you pave the way for the future of simulation. There are only a few limitations to this game. And those are the almost non-existent graphics, the complex game interface, and the style of play the game uses. You have a small to medium sized map to place your animals and plants on. You have options to choose whether your animal is a herbivore, carnivore, or filter feeder. But you can also make them flying, climbing, desert, or forest animals. Again you also can make it so your animal can eat anything. You can also select the breeding cycle for each animal.
You can even change the climate in which the level is made. You can add heat to areas of the map, moisture, or even put everlasting sources of food there. This game also takes up very little space on the computer and I believe it is truly worth the download.
Some people are stupid enough to say the game is worthless. It can teach your young ones about the different aspects of the wild climate and what allows the animals to live like they do. This game will give them a different view of animals and spark their imagination at times.
This is a great game for small children in the field of science before they move on to the more difficult aspects of the science world. They will respect this game and may even one day use it to teach their little ones something about animals if they don’t want to use the more advanced ones. This will always be remembered as a new, but inferior beginning to the great simulation company we know as Maxis. This is a preschool stage of the great game SimSafari. There are some things that the kids won’t understand. Help them to master this difficult game and they won’t hesitate to learn more about the wild and all the animals in it but they may even contribute to animal conservation one day.
