Released as a Bomberman for Microsoft Windows, this video game has the same game play as the original Bomberman except that it has a different look and feel to it because it was developed in the USA and not Japan where the original Bomberman game was developed.
The Atomic Bomberman actually scores high in my book when it comes to the graphics because it features 3D animation. The background is colorful and the characters are pretty interesting.
This game is simple to learn and is not so difficult that it’s frustrating. Yet it provides enough challenges so that the gamer does not get bored. Like all the other classic games, the Atomic Bomberman can be quite addictive.
The goal of the game is to kill off all the enemies by setting off bombs. There are power ups in the maze that make your bomb go off faster and stronger. Some power ups will also help your Bomberman move faster and allow it to kick and throw bombs, among other special moves.
The controls are very easy to learn and the character responds easily to the controls. This is a game that makes you struggle with the controls which is great because in the more difficult levels, the enemies can move pretty fast and you have to be able to easily control your Bomberman to avoid the enemies or to blast them off with your bomb.
A great thing about this game is you can actually play against other players in a network. You can play against all the players or play as a team. This definitely ups the value of the game for PC gamers. It provides the challenge that PC gamers seek and it gives them the opportunity to see who is better player which itself provides great fun.
It would be better if the game had an adventure mode for single players though. Another great feature of the game is the ability to customize characters, game rules and others.
This game is great for players of all ages. Even difficult stages can be easily handled once you learn the skills needed to survive in this game.
