Do you love adventure? Action? Puzzles? If so then you have to play this game!! Azraels Tear is one of my all time favourite games and I highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys adventure type games with lots of action.
It is originally formed from the story of the Holy Grail but it is not as dull as it seems and the quest is not all of it, there’s a totally different story line that results in the mission to find it. Basically, the aim of the game is to save the entire population - do not base your opinion of the game on that one fact, almost every game is about saving human beings! - from a plague that is wiping out the entire race. The only way to cure every one is to find the Holy Grail, otherwise the entire civilisation is doomed! Dramatic but what game is not?
A great bonus is that it is ‘set in the future’, as it was made in the nineties and it shows what everyone thought the two thousands would be like (even though it is only seven years in the future). It almost makes you laugh that some people thought that the human race might be overtaken by a plague only less than a decade in the future.
On the other hand, I think it does still seem quite traditional, like it is set in the ancient times of when there were ‘quests’, as there are people guarding the Grail from thieves who are knight-like and you will even find some dinosaurs on your journey!
However, it is not as straight forward as it appears, there are loads of twists and turns to make it even better, anyone who reads this has to play it!!! Another thing I really enjoyed was the puzzles because they added a new level to the whole game.
You actually play this game like you are actually in it (first person) and you are something called a ‘raptor’, which is basically a treasure hunter in the future and you have to find the Holy Grail.
The game does feature a lot of puzzles and you have to solve them to carry on and you can meet people, too, who you can chat to and there are also enemies that you have to challenge. It might require some brain power but it is definitely worth it.
This game is so amazing that any one would be crazy not to try it, I would give it ten out of ten, definitely!!
