When i need to get my soccer fix after watching some saturday morning epl i always turn to this game, VR soccer 96. Not only is it realistic but it is a blast to play, but now that its 13 years old it is safe to call it a classic. The graphics are solid and the gameplay is outstanding. noting beats playing as your favorite club it brings back the old days of playing soccer out on the school pitch with me mates. This game is way ahead of its time it is incredibly well made. The first time i got this game was for my 9th birthday and i didnt think much about it, but when i booted up the old computer and shoved in the floppy i was in heaven. I played that game for hours on end, stopping only for the bare necessities (the simple bear necessities). Even now 13 years later i still find myself playing this game for hours straight. VR soccer 96 is the best game ever!!! The soundtrack is so cool because it reminds me of my friends chris who passed away when he was only 12, we would race home after school to play this game everyday at my house and we always sang the theme song. Thats why this game really hits home for me because of my dear friend chris who was taken from this earth way before his time. Its really funny how something so simple like a game can bring so much emotion when you relate it to an incident like this. I would strongly recommend you download this game which to me is more than a game it is a reminder of a fallen friend. Besides the connection for me the game is truely entertaining and exciting you wont get sick of it after a day like a lot of the games that are out nowadays. I really think things were better in the nineties, things were simpler even games tv and music were better and it really makes you think what life is all about. So this has been my game review of vr soccer 96 a true classic that will always hold a special place in my heart.
