I love soccer! In fact I don’t know anyone who doesn’t. I got hit with FIFA fever when I was a young boy and I was never ever able to recover since.
Action Soccer is a simple and fantastic video game that brings the excitement and fun of live soccer to the computer screen. Like the real sport, the objective of the game is to score the most number of goals against another team. All parts of the characters’ bodies are used except the hands and the characters are equipped with attributes and skills that can be developed over time.
The game was released in 1995 and I have been hooked since a few years after its initial release. I also play different video game titles that feature soccer and this game is pretty comparable to the newer games (except for the animation). Although this game does feature two views- 2D and 3D.
There are 16 teams to choose from and you can compete in a tournament. Teams have different skills such as speed, strength and others. These skills can be developed as you go along in the game. You can also customize certain aspects of the game such as the weather. This should add more fun to the game. Another fun part of the game is the commentary which should give you a feel of how you are doing in the game.
What makes this game pretty easy to play is the fact that there are no fouls and offside. You won’t be committing too many errors and this will lessen the instances when the game has to be stopped because of such offences.
Anyone can play this game which makes it the perfect resident in your hard drive. You don’t even have to teach anyone how to play this game. They can easily pick up the mechanics of the game and the controls. This is why I recommend it to anyone who wants a basic sports game in their video game selection. You can play this game against the computer which is great for when you have a lot of time in your hands.
