Any News on Visions of the Aftermath: Boomtown?

Downloaded it from a few places, and they all have that damn "disappearing" bug. Done what I could with Dos-Box, and mounting.
Anyone have any ideas?

Made a work around.
I'm using D-Fend and Dos-Box.
Set a folder as a disk drive, labelled D.
Set the map drive as D.
Create a world.
On the start of every turn, press F8. This'll save the world after every turn's done.
Keep playing.
Worked for a few years so far, haven't noticed anything weird. Reason for every turn (you can get away with 2 or 3) is that some stuff seems to dissapear from the shelter after a few turns. Not sure if I wasn't paying attention or the beginning of the bug or what, but this seems to work.
