Gloria - Loading Problems

Can anyone help me with figuring out how to get Gloria (in Mature) to start? The only executable in the zip file is slot.exe which quickly pops up a screen that then dissapears before it can be read. Is there a file missing from the archive or am I completely missing something obvious? Thanks!

| Yes, I've tried running it in straight DOS (use a Win98SE machine) and get absolutely nothing. I believe it's a Win 95/98 game anyway and isn't DOS native to begin with. |

| Hm think we will need to look deeper into this since no body can run this game and it's close to being the number 1 download on the site. It can be that simple that the download file available here just doesn't work, does anyone have a working copy? |

| It's missing the proper executable. From my research there should be a "Gloria.exe" file in there as well as "Slot.exe". |

| Yeah, their is supposed to be a Gloria.exe file there. I finally got it downloaded from here only to find out it didn't work and found the game in a larger torrent elsewhere. If you need a working copy of the game I can a) send the Torrent file to an email b) send the Gloria.exe file. Or whatever. If you interested in getting a work copy on the site |

Hi. I'm new here, and just downloaded Gloria only to find it didn't work. So i came looking for help on the site i got it from, and found this thread. Is there any news on this topic? Is a copy of Gloria.exe available?

| I would appreciate the .exe file as well. I just joined as well only to find there isn't an executable aside from the slot. |

OK. i downloaded that file, popped it into the gloria folder, and tried to run it. then i tried to run it under Win95 compatability mode. Success! or so i thought. after a while an error message pops up:
Microsoft Visual C++ Library
Runtime Error
[gives file path of gloria.exe]
Abnormal Program Termination
and then the program closes. anyone got any ideas? |
