A couple things here, firstly the game size specified on C:DOS is 2.09 MB and the actual file size is almost double.
Also there's a bug in the game, part of the map between northern Canada and the Arctic circle appears messed up on the mini map, when you view that part of the map the whole game goes nuts and your screen becomes filled with radomly coloured pixels.
The screenshots for the game appear to be from the DOS version, perhaps the person who took them should contact Nicklas and get the DOS version uploaded instead of the Winows ver. (Assuming the DOS version is AW) because it's a lot better.

I love Civ games, but is it just me or did they go a bit far with Civ4 in making it too graphical? ;)

Personally I really, really love the Civ games to, especially the first one with the now famous C:DOS Globe in the beginning of the opening scenes!  |

Civilization... one of the greatest game series ever made... and it has gone better with every new version.
CivI is true classic, imho always deserves to be played and replayed
And for Lucullus, NO, they did not make Civ4 TOO graphical, imo, it should be even more graphical.... there are tons of improvements to be made.
