This game is great, except the package on the server has _important_ files left out, like for attacking castles.
So I have this badass mofo' castle and some killer armies, but the only thing I can do is "harass" other castles to get armies to attack me. Attacking castles crashes the game - "resource file not found"
Also jousting and melee both do not work in the tournament. Jousting doesn't crash, but you don't get to joust, and trying melee crashes the game. - "resource file not found"
Aside from that and the random hard crashes my p.c. has taken because of the game - I like it.

Oh cool! I hope you read this then! Read the .NFO file, it tells you after running TDUJAM (which decompresses the game) goto the installed dir and run install.bat. Then you can joust/melee and attack castles!!!
Of course, the game seems to randomly crash more often during the castle attacks, but its awesome to take out all those guys and finally get new castles!
Hope this helps you too. I can't believe I didn't read the nfo file properly the first time. d'oh!

Just an update, I noticed jousting still does not work. I've looked places for a better package of the game (I found out the group that ..ripped.. the game has messed up on other games as well..) All-in-all no luck for a good abandoned package, and the e-bay prices are insane. ($40 and up). May have to check dollar bins - I conclude it is fact that this game is _rare_.
P.S. The crashing seems to lessen when bg-apps like messengers are closed. (I gained about three fiefs with no crashes!) |

| How did you guys get this game to run? No matter what I do it will not work. I follow the directions to the letter. I tryed running it in Dosbox which does nothing, and when I try to run the conquer.bat file I just get a dos prompt screen that says it's configuring video then nothing. |

| I cant even get the game to work at all the command promt comes up for a minute when I start it but then it shuts and doesn't reopen can anyone please explain that? |

| I am having a different problem, the game won't even load up for me....I just get an error message thats says invalid driver id...any help? |

| Are you sure you have the file fully downloaded? Or that the file is not corrupt and you need to re-download the game? It sounds like you are having troubles with that. Otherwise you can always try to install the game using the dosbox utility program. Let me know! |

| I still get the invalid driver ID error. I've downloaded it from 3 different places and I get the same error. Is there any other way I can get this to work? is there another emulator program that will work better? |
