hm, I'm still having problems running the game even with the installer. Running windows XP Media Center edition Service Pack 2. Changing my compatibility modes dosen't help either.

~niklas : Core Team @ 6th December -06, 00:57
Hm hm. Okay mate. I'm running on XP Professioanl but with Service Pack 1 and it works a like a charm, I don't have to set the compatibility mode at all. What type of error do you get? Do you get any hint on the problem at all?

~DoctorPhanan : Newbie @ 6th December -06, 07:43
I get the "True Love has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the Inconvenience" error message. I've tried reinstalling, redownloading, and re-registering, but it still dosent work.

~pango : Newbie @ 6th December -06, 23:59
I might just need to reset, but for some reason, it simply does not open upon double-clicking the icon. Nothing happens.

~DoctorPhanan : Newbie @ 7th December -06, 05:17
ah, it looks like I can't play any of the old windows 9x games. Bizarre. I'll see if I can fix that.

~pango : Newbie @ 7th December -06, 12:51
I'm having that same problem. I'm running XP Home SP2. None of the old Win9X Sim games work either. I noticed that when I try to run the program, the task manager shows a T_LOVE95 process, but no program is running.

~TowerU : Elite Member @ 7th December -06, 19:53
I'm afraid I can confirm the problem and have no solution at hand. I managed to start the game once, running straight from setup after installing it. I couldn't get it back to run, no game, no process, nothing at all. Fiddling with compatibilities didn't help.
All those with trouble are running an XP SP2?

~niklas : Core Team @ 8th December -06, 01:21
Hm, I actually only started the game once and I haven't tired it after that. I will see if I can get it to run later today. I'm currently using XP but only SP1. I'm not using DOSBox or any other emulator, just clicking the t_love.exe file and the game runs perfectly.

Are you guys using the C:DOS installer?

Kicking an old thread up here :P

Well, I wanted to know if True Love works for you guys who reported this error. And what you might've done to fix the problem.
I have Windows XP Professional SP2 and both the installer and the game work fine for me.

same here. even without the cdos installer true love seems to run fine in Xp SP2.
